Asus International plans to grow its Asian sales for affordable personal computers more than fivefold, with the Philippines as its biggest market in the region. In a briefing, Leon Yu, country manager of Asus Technology Philippines, said the company is confident that it can sell 5 million units of the Eee PC 900 worldwide. "The Philippines will account for the highest unit sales in the South-East Asian region, since [our] best performance in terms of sales came from the Philippines," Yu said. Asus has sold 1 million units of the Eee PC 700. The Eee PC 900 will be sold at P24,990 retail. The Eee PC 700 is priced at P17,500.
